Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Beta

Interested in getting involved in the beta testing for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3? They are now accepting sign ups for it. As long as your age is old enough, my understanding is that this is open to anybody who signs up soon. Take this opportunity to test out the new elite subscription that is being added to MW3. They haven’t revealed many of those features yet, but it is assumed we may hear about it at E3 this upcoming week.

They have been saying that this game is going to set the new standard for all first person shooters out there. It’s about time for them to change the game. The only problem is that it’s going to cost the gamers even more money this time around. If you’re an Xbox Live user you’re already paying $60 a year to play the game plus you have to buy the game. Now on top of that, there will be a subscription fee for those who want these additional features.

Anyways, if you’re interested in signing up for the beta, you’ll have to fill out this form. They will contact you via email with your beta code when the modern warfare 3 beta starts. I’ve already requested mine because this is going to be the start of the future of gaming. I fully believe that, and I think that Battlefield is choosing an unfortunate time to release Battlefield 3, especially due to the long time between releases. Nonetheless, the fall lineup is already looking great and E3 hopefully will only add to that.

Blur Review

The game, Blur, is a game that came out today for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. After one day, gamers have liked what they have seen of this racing game. Here is a review that has been given to the game:

“There are multiple gameplay modes at hand here, but the primary one is combat-focused racing. You face off with up to 19 white-knuckled adrenaline junkies and try to complete a number of laps around a variety of circuits faster than everyone else while staying out of trouble and out of those 19 sets of crosshairs. Scattered about the courses are icons representing each of the eight power-ups available, like the fire-and-forget shunt, the shock attack, mines, turbo boosts, and shields. Most projectiles can be fired forward or backward and it’s important to use them in both directions. Focus entirely on what’s ahead and an opponent will quickly fill your tailpipe with fire and brimstone, but keep your head on a swivel and you might make it for 30 seconds or so without getting blasted – maybe.”

Make sure to look into this game some time.

Tetris Party Deluxe

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands Review

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is a game that was just made available to gamers today. It was released for the consoles of the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

Here is a review which has been given to this game:

“If it sounds like The Forgotten Sands is a series of highs and lows, that’s because it is. It’s a game filled with heightened moments of elation followed by stretches of frustrating mediocrity. It nearly all falls apart at the very end, too, when the game creates an unnecessary wall of difficulty by asking the player to accomplish ridiculous feats of timing totally out of line with the rest of the game. The Forgotten Sands‘ flow walks a very fine line, wanting to give the appearance of challenge but without breaking the player’s forward momentum. When you stop moving in this game, you stop having fun. To this end, one of the final stretches in The Forgotten Sands crafts arbitrary difficulty through an uncontrollable camera viewpoint and timed jumps that rely less on skillful use of the Prince’s abilities than it is blind memorization of hard-as-nails jumps.”

Be sure to look into more details about this game if you have the chance.

Fragile Alliance Mode in Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days

In the original game of Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, there was a popular multiplayer mode that was called “fragile alliance.” This mode received great reviews and a lot of popularity. When the sequel to this game was eing made there was no doubt that this mode would be a part of it. Some improvements in the mode were completed.

The following is a preview of the “fragile alliance” mode from Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days:

“The potential for someone going traitor is always there, whether it be your teammates or yourself. If you do decide to go traitor, you could hang back and silently assassinate teammates — just make sure no one sees you do it. Or you can grab a human shield, keeping your teammates from shooting you by making it crucial for them not to accidentally shoot the buddy being used as a shield. If a teammate shoots a teammate, he can turn traitor, and the guy who gets wounded has a certain amount of time to get his revenge on the shooter without becoming a traitor himself thanks to a function called “yellow card.”

Iron Man 2 Review

Recently released for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 is the game Iron Man 2. The date that this game came out was on May 4th. This game, that has been published by SEGA, is based off of the famous movie. In playing this game, you will be able to better experience the power that Iron Man has.

The following is a review that has been given to this game:

“The combat system is, likewise, well-conceived but joylessly executed. Iron Man’s attack powers are split between his left and right hands. You can assign two different weapon types to each side and change them on the fly by pressing the D-pad. Combat is built around a rough lock-on mechanic. In theory, it works like it would in most games: when locked onto an enemy, a translucent blue circle surrounds them and a green health meter is intertwined. The problem is that it’s impossible to hit a moving target with standard attacks, which renders it fairly useless, since lock-on mechanisms are designed to hit non-stationary enemies.”

Make sure to check out some more details regarding this game if you have the time.

Little Big Planet 2 Preview

Releasing only for the console of the Sony PlayStation 3 is the game Little Big Planet 2. The date at which this game will be available for gamers has not been figured out yet but it is known that it will be some time at the end of this year. This game, that has been developed by Media Molecule, is a sequel to a game which was played by a lot of people.

The following is a preview that has been given to the game:

“So Little Big Planet 2, which Evans and Healey revealed at the event (in pre alpha form), is not a major departure from its predecessor – no “reboots” here. Rather than revamp the first game, Media Molecule is building on the Little Big Planet foundation, making the Little a bit bigger. Sackboy’s still here, as are the stickers and the Popit level creation interface. Little Big Planet 2 will even maintain backward compatibility with all those Little Big Planet 1 levels – in fact, they’ll look just a tad crisper and shinier with Little Big Planet 2’s refined graphics engine.”

Make sure to look into this game when the date that it will come out gets closer as there will be more details by then.
