New Releases for the Week

As you know, the last couple weeks of the year are going to consist of a pretty steady stream of games coming out. The reason for this is obvious. It is the holiday season so most developers and producers are looking for a way to make the most money. Games are being released for the PlayStation 3, the Wii, the Xbox 360, the PlayStation Portable, the Nintendo DS and the PC. While there are not any really big titles coming out this week, there is a pretty good amount of games being released this week. Check out any of these games for yourself to keep you from being bored or pick one up as a christmas gift for one of your friends.

Ice Age 3 for the iPhone

Many of you have seen the recent movie, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Now you will be able to experience this movie in a whole new way. In this game, based on the anticipated film by Fox, join an unlikely herd of pals for there most entertaining adventure yet. You will be able to play as one of the six popular Ice Age characters in this game. Help them on their rescue mission as they move out of the snow and into the unknown land of the dinosaurs. This land is a scary jungle filled with plants and most importantly dangerous dinosaurs. Coming out on the iPhone on Monday, November 30, this game was developed by Chillingo.

Here are some of the features of the game:

  • Choose who you play as from all of the six different characters that you know and love from the great Ice Age movies.
  • Play all of the different new challenges. Investigate the entirely new dinosaur world but make sure to watch out for all of the dangers that hide within it.
  • There are many different modes for you to play and compete in with your friends and family.

Top 25 Xbox Games

The Xbox has been around for four years now. In that amount of time, there have been hundreds and hundreds of different exciting games that have been released. Everything from the first person shooter games to the strategy games to the role playing games, there have been a lot of different successful games. Gamers have remained mostly satisfied over the last four years with the games that have come out. There was recently a list created of the top twenty five games that have come out for the Xbox. The top twenty five games that were chosen are as follows:

Nirvana and Night Ranger Tracks for Rock Band

For all of you who are big Rock Band fans and are looking for more songs to jam to, there are two new track packs that are going to be available for you to download. The two track packs consist of songs from Nirvana and Night Ranger and these will be available next week in order for you to try and complete. These track packs will be available for Rock Band on the consoles of PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii. One thing that may possibly upset people is that one song, “Sister Christian”, is not including in either of the track packs. So if you are at all interested in these songs, make sure to check out these two track packs.

New Releases for the Week

Since it is monday, it is time to take a look at the new releases that will be coming out in this upcoming week. Considering the past couple of weeks have been filled with many new popular games, this week does not include very many new releases at all. However, there still is a few great new games coming out for the PlayStation 3, the Wii, the Xbox 360, the PlayStation Portable, the Nintendo DS and the PC.

Maybe there are some Twilight fans. Coming out in perfect timing after the new Twilight movie was released, Scene It? Twilight comes out for Wii. Karaoke Revolution comes out for PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360 as a game that will test people’s voices in a “Dance Dance Revolution” manner. A fitness game, Your Shape: With Jenny McCarthy, is coming out for the Wii.

Need for Speed: Shift DLC

If you are a Need for Speed: Shift fan, then coming soon you are in for quite a treat. In a couple of weeks, Electronic Arts will be releasing their first bit of downloadable content for this popular racing title, Need for Speed: Shift. The best part about it is that this downloadable content will be available to you at no cost. It will be entirely free.

There will be a new multiplayer mode coming out for this DLC. This multiplayer mode is called Team Racing. This mode, Team Racing, will put two teams, each consisting of six players, up against each other in a Circus Maximus style racing battle. There is also something else coming out with this new downloadable content. There will be five new cars that you can get for yourself. The five new rides are as follows:

  • 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427
  • 1967 Shelby GT-500
  • 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
  • 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T
  • 1998 Toyota Supra Mark IV

This new and exciting downloadable content will be available starting on December 1 for Xbox 360 and on December 10 for the PlayStation 3.
