Highest Game Budgets of All-Time

The following list is a list of the ten games that have had the top ten highest game budgets ever:

1. Grand Theft Auto IV – $100 million
2. Gran Turismo 5 – $80 million
3. Shenmue – $70 million
4. Too Human – $60+ million
5. Metal Gear Solid 4 – $60 million
6. Halo 3 – $55 million
7. APB – $50 million
8. L.A. Noire – $50 million
9. Final Fantasy XII – $48 million
10. Killzone 2 – $45 million

All of these games were created for various consoles including the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 and the PC. As you can plainly see, many companies will go to great lengths in order to create a great game that will appeal to gamers. Money goes in to the effects, actors, technology and of course producing the copies of the game and also many more other things. Grand Theft Auto IV spent 100 million dollars which just proves the amounts it costs for such a great games. The newer the games are, the more money it starts to become to produce them. However, is this saying that more money will create better games or sometimes are the more simple games the ones that are better? What are your opinions about spending such a great amount on making games?

Metroid: Other M Description

The following is a look at the description for Metroid: Other M which is a game that will be coming out for the Nintendo Wii:

“While much of the game is reminiscent of 2-D side scrollers, players can switch the perspective into 3-D at any time as they explore the twisting passages of a derelict space station and delve deep into a cinematic, never before told story of bounty hunter Samus Aran’s past. This new approach uses a new control scheme in which players use the Wii Remote controller held sideways to battle enemies and navigate the expansive, gorgeous environments in classic Metroid fashion, then aim at the screen with the Wii Remote pointer to blast foes in first-person and hunt the world for clues and hidden passages.”

In some way, they have said that this game is going to be both a 2-D and a 3-D Metroid game which is very interesting. What ideas can you take from this description of the game? Does it look like some thing that you are interested in playing?

The game, Calling, is a game that will be coming out for the Nintendo Wii on March 9, 2010. In this game, which is developed by Hudson soft, you will start off by going to a mysterious Black Page website which has a simple number counter. Many people have come up with reasons for why this counter is there and the most popular answer has been decided that it is the number of people who have died after viewing the page. There is a rumor that those people who visit the page are mysteriously drawn in to a space which is filled with all of the memories of the dead and this space is the space between life and death. The gamers job is to attempt to discover the truth. To complete this task, players will be equipped with flash lights, phones and also a couple other items to make your way around and escape the Calling.

You will travel to different parts of the Calling world in this game. With each memory you will become closer and closer to either an escape or a death. You must solve puzzles, search with objects and try to stay away from the inhabitants of this world.
