February’s Software and Hardware Sales

Here is the list of the software sales from this previous month of February 2010:

  1. Xbox 360 — BioShock 2, Take Two, 562,900
  2. Nintendo Wii — New Super Mario Bros Wii, Nintendo of America, 555,600
  3. Xbox 360 — Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Activision, 314,300
  4. Nintendo Wii — Just Dance, Ubisoft, 275,400
  5. Nintendo Wii — Wii Sports Resort w/ Wii Motion Plus, Nintendo of America, 272,500
  6. Sony PlayStation 3  — Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Activision, 252,800
  7. Xbox 360 — Mass Effect 2, Electronic Arts, 246,500
  8. Sony PlayStation 3 — Dante’s Inferno: Divine Edition, Electronic Arts, 242,500
  9. Xbox 360 — Dante’s Inferno, Electronic Arts, 224,700
  10. Sony PlayStation 3 — Heavy Rain, Sony Computer Entertainment of America, 219,300

The race for the most software sales through out the different consoles was very close in the month of February. The Xbox 360 has the number one game and also, four of the ten games on the list. The PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii split the other six games with three a piece.

Here is a list of the video game hardware sales from this past month of February 2010:

  • Nintendo DS: 613,200
  • Xbox 360: 422,000
  • Nintendo Wii: 397,900
  • Sony PlayStation 3 : 360,100
  • PlayStation Portable: 133,400
  • Sony PlayStation 2: 101,900

The Xbox 360 continues to win over the Nintendo Wii and the PlayStation 3 in hardware sales but the Nintendo DS remains at the top of the list.
