EA Sports is seeking to bring families together by moving family game night onto the Xbox 360. This is going to be a rather interesting move. The games they are bringing to the marketplace are Connect 4, Sorry, Battleship, Yahtzee, Scrabble, and Boggle. These will only cost you 800 Microsoft or $10.
The real question becomes, how well will these games do. I mean, you can get the board games for about the same price, and if you already own the games why would you buy them again on the Xbox 360. I think it will have some initial hype, but the real success will depend on their dedication to this goal. Are they willing to give free game downloads in order to get famalies together? We’ll see how this works out.
