We all new the big selling point about next gen consoles such as the PS3 was the blu-ray, the graphics, and how far the system could really push it’s limits. So far, we’ve seen some of the most graphically pleasing video-games to date, that is unless of course you work at NASA and can actually run “Crysis”. But, there are always a few games that just don’t seem to take the cake.
There was a game that came out not too long ago called “Conflict:Denied Ops” and that game looked and played as if it should have been played on the PSOne..but this new game “Enemy Territory” is really, REALLY, lacking graphically. Gameplay? No idea, I haven’t played it, but I have seen some screens. While it does not look too bad in game it seems as if the developers forgot to re-map and texture the enviroment when you look through a sniper scope.
I kid you not readers, when the sniper scope is pulled up it looks like the Windows 98 version of Deer Hunter. May lightning strike me right now if I’m lying. From what I’ve heard changes will be made, but the game is almost finished and they’d have to re-texture the whole thing. This type of the thing doesn’t show up in the 360 version though, surprisingly. Maybe developers are getting into the favoritism/elitism when it comes to the console wars now.
The graphics are the only main difference in the game between the two consoles. The PS3 version really got the short end of the stick in this deal. Jagged enviroments, low-res textures, and choppy framerates are a thing of last-gen. People didn’t pay 600 dollars for a gaming system just so they can look as if they’re playing on a system from ’95.
Weither it be favoritism or just plain laziness when it comes to who developed this game, I’m hoping they’re not expecting a sales boom if they keep putting out content such as this.
