If you are a Need for Speed: Shift fan, then coming soon you are in for quite a treat. In a couple of weeks, Electronic Arts will be releasing their first bit of downloadable content for this popular racing title, Need for Speed: Shift. The best part about it is that this downloadable content will be available to you at no cost. It will be entirely free.

There will be a new multiplayer mode coming out for this DLC. This multiplayer mode is called Team Racing. This mode, Team Racing, will put two teams, each consisting of six players, up against each other in a Circus Maximus style racing battle. There is also something else coming out with this new downloadable content. There will be five new cars that you can get for yourself. The five new rides are as follows:

Dragon Age: Origins, the beloved Role Playing Game, fans will soon be receiving even more DLC. BioWare has recently released information that it will be coming out with “Return to Ostagar” this holiday. This will make it the third DLC to come out since this game came out earlier this month.

BioWare’s Dr. Ray Muzyka said:

“’Return to Ostagar’ allows players to exact their revenge and embark on a quest for the mighty arms and armor of the once great King Cailan when they revisit Ostagar, the site of the Grey Wardens’ darkest hour, to reclaim the honor and learn the secrets of Ferelden’s fallen king. ‘The Return to Ostagar’ DLC pack is a prime example of BioWare’s commitment to give fans a game that continuously offers new experiences and further enriches a storyline that has already received critical acclaim and positive feedback from the players.”

The cost for this downloadable content is $4.99 for the PlayStation 3, for the PC it will be 3,400 BioWare points, and for the Xbox 360, it will be 400 Microsoft Points.

While the new Super Mario Bros. for the Wii stuck to their traditional ways, there is an increasing amount of evidence that the next Zelda game is going to see Link going on an adventure that is pretty new. They will be firming up support for MotionPlus. Also, the designer, Eiji Aonuma, told Official Nintendo Magazine that there is a “new structure” for this Wii game.

“It is something we used to talk about with Mr [Shigeru] Miyamoto, and he and I agree that if we are following the same structure again and again, we might not be able to give long time Zelda fans a fresh surprise,” said Eiji Aonuma. “So we have been trying something new in terms of the structure of the Wii version of the new Zelda game this time.”

There are only a few Zelda constants. These constants include exploring Hyrule Field, saving Princess Zelda, the presence of Ganon somewhere throughout the plot and also, rescuing the Tri-Force. Does anybody have any guesses as to what Nintendo might be taking out of the game?

PlayStation Network does not always have demos for downloadable games like Xbox Live Arcade does. Most PlayStation games do have demos though, even if the game is going to arrive two or three weeks later. WiiWare is a complete gamble on having demos. There is most often no demo for a WiiWare game which makes is hard to find coverage. This potentially keeps some WiiWare games from people purchased as people do not know what to expect. However, this problem may no longer be a problem. Nintendo starting releasing WiiWare demos today.

At the time, only five WiiWare demos are out even though the games they are for have already been released. The five games are Bit.Trip Beat, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A Dark Lord, NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, World of Goo and Pokemon Rumble. These are all good decisions by Nintendo because all five of these titles are quality games that have been ignored. As of right now, it has not been made clear whether or not demos are going to become a part of Nintendo’s policy. If these demos receive a lot of attention, then I am sure that Nintendo will continue releasing WiiWare demos.

For The Beatles: Rock Band, The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band will be available for download. This will come out on November 17th for the Xbox 360 and the Wiim and it will release on November 19th for the PlayStation 3.

According to msome critics, Sgt. Pepper is considered as the one of the highest points of The Beatles musical career. The Sgt. Peppers pack, which are combined with tracks shipped with The Beatles: Rock Band, will complete this album. Included with these seven new tracks are the hits “She’s Leaving Home” and ”Within You Without You,” but the other five songs are also great.  Here is the full listing:

Borderlands 2 has not yet been officially confirmed. Due to the success that came as a surprise from Gearbox Software’s first person action Role Playing Game, somebody has finally asked the question regarding Borderlands 2. The success of the first game is not yet official since the actual numbers do not come in until the end of this month, but by word of mouth, this game has done great.

“Yes, I can probably confirm that there’s a chance of a Borderlands 2,” laughed Mike Neumann, the excited director. “I mean, with anything, especially a new IP, if people want more and you can make more, and everybody can make money and do good business there, it obviously makes really good sense to do that. Obviously nothing so far is planned. We’re working on DLC. We haven’t really had any talks about a sequel, other than water cooler talk like, ‘Wouldn’t this be cool’ kind of stuff. If everything makes sense, Borderlands 2 seems like a no-brainer to me,” ended Neumann.

Borderlands has really done much better that most people expected for it to do. This causes Gearbox’s design team to start thinking about their next move.
