Fallout 3 ‘The Pitt’ Download Problems

Bethesda Softworks is reporting many problems having occured with the release of their latest downloadable content which is titled “The Pitt”. With all the problems making the game very buggy, Bethesda Softworks has been forced to update it twice already. If you are still receiving problems it is probably a result of you failing to download the most recent update to the DLC. You should be prompted when signing into Xbox Live, but if you don’t generally plug into Xbox Live unless you know there is an update you may have missed this.

If worse comes to worse, you can simply delete it off your harddrive and go back to the marketplace to download it free. You won’t be charged Microsoft Points twice, trust me on this. Once the download has been purchased it is then credited to your account. In fact, you could probably go to a friends house and download the new content onto his Xbox too. Granted, the only way he would be able to use them is if he takes them off your account and puts them onto an Xbox like many people do with Halo maps.

More New Guitar Hero World Tour Songs

Well it seems as though the intense competition between Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and the few other copy cats is continuing to heat up. It’s all about the songs, and of course, the need for new songs means downloading. The first company to figure out they will get more game sales is the company that realizes they need to offer these for free. I do realize they have to pay the record companies, but the amount is above and beyond what is fair.

Anyways, Wings is coming to Guitar Hero World tour and they are starting it off with three songs. 160 Microsoft Points for one song, and 440 Microsoft Points for them all. Here are the songs they are releasing. Check the Marketplace for the downloads.

• “Junior’s Farm”

Fallout 3: Must Buy!

Fallout 3 is one of the dirtiest games I’ve played in recent times. If you’ve got some extra money from the holidays I’d highly suggest you go out and buy this game. It is pretty cool. I can’t even imagine what it would be like on the hardest level in this game. You’d have to be pretty good is all I can say.

I’ll give a more in depth review as I get farther in the game.

Half Off Original Halo

If you haven’t played the original Halo game, I don’t know where you’ve been. If you are like me and didn’t have the original Xbox you have an excuse, barely. This game was legit. It may seem a bit weak now after Halo 2 and 3, but it’s still worth it if you need to know the story line.

Originally it was placed in the Xbox Originals for 1,200 microsoft points ($15), but for this week, and this week only, you can get it for 600 microsoft points ($7.50).  Hurry up and jump on this deal before it goes back up in price.

Fable II Fails Launch

They couldn’t even prepare the game for a decent launch. One would expect a game as highly anticipated as this to be something that would knock our socks off out of the box. There are some major issues going on with the game freezing. It’s hitting forums and blogs now, mere hours into the release of the game. There is a way to avoid, or fix the fable 2 freezing issues.

It is reported that if you have downloaded the co-op patch for the game, you will most likely encounter some freezing problems requiring you to restart your xbox, and lose any progress made since your last save. If you downloaded the patch, go into your dashboard and delete it, and don’t download it again. It’s not going to guarantee that your game won’t freeze, but from what I’ve been reading there are few if any occurances of freezing without the patch.

Let’s see how this plays out. I sense free ‘apology’ content will be coming for you guys in the near future. Maybe just themes or avatars, but we’ll have to see. Hopefully that co-op gets up and running soon as it’s a huge part of the game. PS3 fans keep laughing.
