DJ Hero Mix Pack

Most music games release downloadable content pretty soon after the game is released. Activision has wasted no time in putting out their first mix pack for DJ Hero. However, the pack’s priced at $6 and it doesn’t let you download individual mixes over Xbox Live or PlayStation Network but you can on Wii.

The DJ Hero “Extended Mix Pack 01″ includes:

  • “All Of Me” by 50 Cent featuring Mary J. Blige vs. “Radio Ga Ga” by Queen
  • “DARE” by Gorillaz vs. “Can’t Truss It” Performed by Public Enemy

If the mixes were separated onto all of the consoles, the downloadable content would still consist of the price of $3 per mix. In contrast, for Guitar Hero 5, the individual song tracks are only priced at $2 each. When Activision was contacted, they would neither confirm nor deny this as the standard price for the future content.

“I cannot comment about future DJ Hero downloadable,” said the Guitar Hero public relations manager, Aaron Grant, in an e-mailed statement from this morning, “but for the DJ Hero downloadable content that has been announced, individual mixes will cost $3.”

There will be a ”David Guetta Mix Pack,” which will features three mixes. This mix pack will be released on November 24th.

To me, it seems like the prices are not set in stone. Make sure that if you think that $3 for each song is too much then you get your opinion heard.

PlayStation 2’s 9th “Birthday”

On this day, nine years ago, the PlayStation 2 was “born”. Therefore, it is appropriate to say “Happy Birthday PS2!” This console, which was the champion of the previous console war is ancient in the video game world.

Sony reports that for every three households in the United States, there is one household that owns a PlayStation 2. There is a total of nearly 140 million people who own the system around the world. This makes it among the most successful game systems ever created. Games are even still being made for it. In case you missed this console in the last decade, you can pick up a PS2 SLim for the low price of $99. A great money saver is that you can get the PS2 games, which consists of more than 10,000 titles, for a very low price at used game retailers across the globe.

For many people, their PS2 is most likely out of use collecting dust and has been ever since they moved on to the PS3, Wii or Xbox 360. Maybe there is a few people who use their PS2 on rare occasions. Where is your PlayStation 2? When was the last time you used it?

Rock Band 2 Bundle for just $79

There is a hugely amazing deal for all you PS3 and Xbox 360 owners. You can purchase Rock Band, Rock Band 2 and all of the instruments that you need to play the game including the drums, guitar and microphone for the low price of $79. The instruments you would get would be the Rock Band version. This game is unfortunately only for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and not for the Wii or PS2.

For those of you who have not figured it out yet, there is one money saving tip that can help you save hundreds of dollars. You will still get all of the same games, accessories and systems as everyone else. This sounds good so far, doesn’t it? All you have to do is have patience. If you wait about six months or so until after a game has been released, then you will usually be able to get it for a much lower price.

I know that the downfall of this strategy is that you will miss out on the new releases at the time you come out. You will still end up with all of the same things as your friends except you will have more money. Buying Gears of War 2 and Dead Space during Christmas this year will most likely save you a lot of money just like your patience for the games Rock Band and Rock Band 2 which you can now get together for just $79.

Beat it! to iPhone and iPod Touch

Beat it! is an upcoming game for the iPhone and iPod touch. It is not a rhythm game. It is a music game. In this game you do not just need to hit the notes with the beat, you must deconstruct a music clip and then try to recreate it. This game is believed to have much potential.

Here is how the game works: A short clip is played while you listen to it a couple times in order to get the notes down. After that, you tap squares on a grid in order to create a line of music which sounds like the clip you just heard. You have the ability to turn squares on or off by simply tapping them. While you create the clip, a line moves over the grid and plays your selection. If you have placed a correct note in the right place of a measure then the square will sparkle. There is five different worlds that you must beat and each world gets harder and harder as you go. For example, new instruments will keep getting added represented by a new line added onto the grid.

A game mode that may interest people is the free play mode which allows you to make your own music clips. Soon after the games release, a feature that will allow you to share your clips and comment on other players clips.

This game will be available in late October for the price of $2.99.

Your task for this game is to free four of your brothers who are being help captive by an evil queen. Playing as the youngest son, out of five, of the king, put your skills to the test as you must defeat four monsters. Show off your dexterity as you overpower obstacles and avoid deadly traps. There is three difficulty levels which you can choose from. Also, there is forty-five different levels which must be completed in order to win including four duel levels which have a time limit to challenge you. Other things featured in this game are eight types of bonuses, special effects, and four opponents which must be defeated.

The graphics used in this game are remarkable and they really put you into the game. Some of the special effects that are used in the game include air bubble traces, re-coloring, explosions, and teleportation. These special effects help to make the game more intense and exciting. If you purchase this game then you will experience an underwater adventure which is full of secrets and magic.
